Mayor Launches New ‘MyLA311′ App For City Services, Information

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Need to do business in the City of Los Angeles? . . . there’s an app for that!

Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and other city officials introduced the new MyLA311 mobile app Monday morning.

The new app allows Angelenos to submit 311 service requests like graffiti removal and pot hole repair.

“I identified some graffiti with literally one quick tap of the button here. One swipe, it was so user friendly,” Councilman Jose Buscaino told KNX1070’s Margaret Carrero.

Users can also pay city bills and locate resources.

“MyLA311 is a major leap forward in making City Hall a tech friendly place” said Mayor Villaraigosa. “Angelenos now have a direct mobile portal to vital services and key city information. This will spur a more open and transparent government. MyLA311 puts the power of City Hall in the palm of your hand.”
